Does anyone know of a good place to get a hair cut and color in Madrid? I’m a little high maintenance when it comes to hair, so if you have a great place that you can recommend. I would really appreciate it!

I would also like to say thanks for this map! I moved here a couple of weeks ago and is now looking for a new apartment since I live just by Gran via and find a little to noisy for my taste.. this maps fills in all the gaps of knowledge I had about the different areas.

Hey this is a really good summary. I live in between metros ibiza and sainz de baranda, 2 minute walk from retiro and i’ve never looked back! If you shop around you can find something within your price range. So many nice little tapas bars around here too, though you might want to save up as it’s one of the most expensive areas for tapas.

This is so funny that I stumbled across this. I’m going to the Corte today to try and find Peanut Butter. I’ve been here about 5 weeks and I’m DYING for a pb&j sandwich. I’ll let you know if they have it!

heyhey, Im going to be comming to spain in a week , or sooner.
Im trying to find an aprtment or a room or roomate somewhere in madrid.
But i dont speak and spanish just , english , bulgarian and french.
Im going to be attending the internationla program at Antonio de nebrijia university in a week and i have no idea how to go about finding a place to live or even one thats close to the school.
want to help me out.
awsome idea this website is by the way its rather calming for someone who has no idea what they are about to get into.

April gave birth in a private hospital, which means we had private health insurance. The insurance is 135€ a month for our family through Sanitas (www.sanitas.es). I’m not sure what the costs would be in the public health care system.

As for the birth itself (including prenatal classes), our bill was 8€. It would not have cost us anything had I not known that bottled water was not included. We used 8 bottles of water at a 1€ a piece
